I want a digital SLR camera that features, but to aim and shoot. Suggestions?
They do not want or need to spend an arm and leg, because they have that many pictures right now. I want something with a fast shutter speed and a wide angle lens and a good optical zoom (hopefully more than 3x). Upgrading from a Sony Cybershot 5MP. Suggestions?
The S5 IS from Canon is a digital SLR "and" qualities that are looking for a solid 12x zoom (432mm equivalent). You can even add it later with extra wide angle, telephoto or slave flash off camera. And not cost you an arm and a leg (approx $ 350 or less recommended retail price). The Canon G9 has less zoom (6x) and did not "feel" of a digital SLR but without the member is 12 and has the ability to shoot in RAW as a camera Digital SLR (if you enjoy doing the work of post-treatment). It is also slightly more expensive $ 450, but for higher resolution, and if you do not need the extra zoom is an excellent choice.
